The Country Farmhouse is located north off the Trans Canada Highway between the historical towns of Cluny and Gleichen, Alberta (AB). We are located 60 minutes east of Calgary. The Country Farmhouse is located a short 2 1/2 hour drive from the Alberta/Saskatchewan border and only 55 minutes from Brooks. The Country Farmhouse opened in the summer of 2005. It offers a collection of unique giftware, antiques and handmade items lodged in a charming, old-fashioned farmhouse. Offering lunch daily and evening meals by reservations, the Country Farmhouse is a great place to head for a day trip or stop by on your way down the Trans-Canada Highway.

I was raised in the country. My parents farmed and Dad was also a grain buyer. The rural life was in my blood. I married Don and together we raised 6 children and farmed the land. It is our hope to bring people to the country to experience the beauty and tranquility of rural Alberta and enjoy the local history. The food is simple - one that you would find on any country farmhouse table - homemade from recipes that will take you back to your mom's and grandma's kitchen.
